The foundation works closely with ND Vision Services/School for the Blind to help provide materials that are not available with state funding.
History and Mission
The North DakotaSchool for the Blind Foundation was established in 1990 to assist individuals who are visually impaired in North Dakota. The Foundation’s mission is to assist students and adults who are visually impaired. This may include, but is not limited to, assistive technology equipment/materials, funds for social, recreational, and athletic events for students who are visually impaired. All services and equipment provided by the Foundation are over and above basic educational services appropriated by the state legislature to the North Dakota Vision Services/School for the Blind (NDVS/SB), which serves students of our state who are blind or visually impaired.
